She Covers Her Denial With A Smile!

She used to be that girl with twinkles in her eyes,
What she had in her possession, she never realized.
A Jewell, a Gem, valued at priceless,
I'd rate her a "twenty" when she's not at her best.
Even at her worst; somehow, she always managed to smile,
I could feel the pain in her but she was always in denial.
Trying to embrace ignorance, because ignorance is bliss,
I wish I had the power to kill her pain with a kiss.

When I see her smile,
I see a river of denial.
I never see her cry,
She holds her pain deep inside.

They say a picture is worth a million words,
She's so picture perfect, sharper than a million swords.
Every glance from her cuts me deep,
She's so beautiful, it makes me want to weep.
When I come to my senses and I come to realize,
She's a pretty picture with pain locked up inside.
It shatters my bones to see her try and fake it,
If I had my choice, her pain, I would gladly take it.

When I see her smile,
I see a river of denial.
I never see her cry,
She holds her pain deep inside.

I still see a twinkle but something's not the same,
Tears turning crystal, I feel, her pain is to blame.
Agony, misery, yet she smiles,
A smile so fake, smiling in denial.
Forced to look away, that sight, unable to bear,
A dagger in my heart, my soul does she tear.
So I shed a tear for her because she seems unable,
To face reality, so I let her sleep in her little fable.

When I see her smile,
I see a river of denial.
I never see her cry,
She holds her pain deep inside.

Don't fake it,
Embrace it,
When you fall I will be there.
Just let it go,
All you need to know is,
How much I do care.
One last time, one last rhyme,
One last sentiment, let me be your paradigm.
